Carrols Restaurant Group, Inc., a growing company located in Syracuse, NY, and one of the largest restaurant companies in the U.S., has an excellent opportunity in our Cash Management department for a Staff Accountant II.
The following is a summary of the skills, knowledge and experience necessary to be successful in this position.
Reconcile all Carrols, Pollo Tropical and Taco Cabana payroll accounts.
Reconcile CashLINK, SafePoint, and CompuSafe reconciliations.
Reconcile Unit level Bank accounts and sweep accounts
Reconcile Main Operating accounts for Carrols and Fiesta.
Review and research variances and missing deposits for Carrols and Fiesta.
Answer questions from units and Management regarding bank accounts.
Prepare cash journal entries for Carrols and Fiesta, making sure cash balances are properly recorded in the General Ledger.
Cover responsibilities of Supervisor of Cash Management when he/she is out of the office.
Assist Cash Management Sr. Clerks on all research and resolution of problems.
Knowledge of all credit, gift, and university card processes, reconciliations, reporting and analyses.
Train and assist the Cash Management Sr. Clerks on handling day-to-day Cash Management processes or problems.
Other duties as assigned.
Associate’s Degree in Accounting or equivalent work experience required. 2-4 years experience in an Accounting Department desired. 1-2 years supervisory experience desired. Must be proficient in computer applications, such as Excel and Word. Sound organizational and problem-solving skills required. Effective communication skills necessary. Ability to work with a high degree of accuracy in a fast-paced environment essential. Experience with PeopleSoft a plus.
