BASIC INFORMATION

Division & Department: Festiva Development Group(FDG) Accounting Department

Job Status: Full time
Reports To: ETourandTravel Controller

FLSA (exempt or nonexempt) Status: Salary Exempt
Positions Supervised: None

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Staff Accountant Level 2 supports the Controller in carrying out the responsibilities of the Accounting Department. This position relieves the Controller of certain responsibilities that will allow the Controller to spend a greater portion of their time on financial statement preparation, analysis, budgets, forecasting and various other issues.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

The Staff Accountant Level 2:
Maintains fixed assets system

Maintain general ledgers

Supports Controller with month end closings and reconciliations

Works with marketing analyst with any reconciliations

Manage corporate credit card charges

Month end accounting reconciliations

Monthly detail for general journal entries, insure proper recording of new purchases and disposals

OTHER FUNCTIONS

Perform other accounting and financial tasks as may be required from time to time by the Controller – quite often on short notice.

The Staff Accountant Level 2 may also:
Assist with payroll functions as needed.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS

Education/Credentials

Bachelor’s degree in accounting is required.

3-5 years of experience in accounting is required.

Experience

Must be highly skilled in dealing with financial and numeric data.

Must be highly skilled in Excel spreadsheets

Working knowledge of Great Plains is a plus, but not required.
