Dye Precision, Inc. is the industry leader in Paintball and Action Sports equipment manufacturing and distribution. We seek an experienced Staff Accountant to work out of our headquarters located in Poway, CA. Dye Precision, Inc. is a dynamic, fast-growing company and we are looking for a career-minded, growth-oriented individual to join our accounting department. This individual will fill a key role within the accounting department. The Staff Accountant will support various aspects of finance and accounting for the company. The successful candidate will need to be effective and experienced in the general accounting function. The position requires solid accounting experience combined with strong analytical skill

The candidate will need to possess strong problem solving skills, work ethic, organizational skills, attention to detail, decision making skills and ability to work with others. This position will support various aspects of the financial cycle including, but not limited to, assisting in various audits and monitoring various metrics of the business to aid in daily operational decisions.

This position also requires general accounting responsibilities, including journal entries, posting to the general ledger, intercompany transactions, creating detailed reports, account reconciliations and accruals. The Staff Accountant provides management with financial information by researching and analyzing accounts. The Staff Accountant prepares financial statements, maintains record of assets, liabilities, profit and loss, tax liability, or other financial activities within the organization.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (Not intended to be all-inclusive)
General responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs.

Prepares general ledger entries, as well as maintains records and files Prepares consolidated internal and external financial statements by gathering information from the general ledger system and various departments Prepares account reconciliations; analyzes information and options by developing spreadsheet reports; verifying information as necessary Prepares reports detailing m onthly expenses by cost center Prepares payments by accruing expenses; assigning account numbers Analyzes various & total company expenses, including comparisons to provide forecasts and trends Corresponds with various departments to ensure proper accounting for purchases and expenses Protects organization's interests by keeping information confidential Tracks and allocates costs associated with U.S. expatriate employees working abroad May assist Supervisor in preparing corporate forecasts by cost center May invoice other locations for intercompany charges as needed Prepare, examine, or analyze accounting records, financial statements, or other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards Develop, maintain, and analyze budgets; prepare reports comparing budgeted costs to actual costs Analyze business operations, trends, costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations, to project future revenues and expenses or to provide advice Flexibility to work additional hours required Performs other duties as directed or assigned

Microsoft Office Suite: Word and Excel expert. MAS Accounting Software 10-Key adding machine or calculator skills required Knowledge of the following is a plus: ATX Total Accounting Office; Intuit QuickBooks software; Sage CPAClient Checkbook; Summit Software Summit Biofuels Accounting
EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required; however, different degrees may be considered with strong related experience. Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in Accounting or other relevant position, preferably a processing function in a manufacturing environment. Experience with implementation of Accounting related technology solutions.
