Guardian Automotive Products has an excellent career
opportunity for a Staff Accountant at its Worthington,
OH administrative office. We are looking for someone
with a 4 year degree who is interested in growing with
our company. Desire a person who wants to learn all
aspects of business early in their career by
understanding three pillars of success: People,
Products, and Accountability. Must be career minded and
available for periodic travel to various external
locations.
This person will generate monthly financial statements
and prepare reporting with key operating results on an
accurate and timely basis. Will be involved in business
analysis related to products, pricing, and competitive
review. Will have input and communication of financial
information and operating results to management and
field personnel. Will assist and provide information
related to forecasting/business planning analysis and
bench-marking. Manage general ledger accounting,
including all subsidiary ledgers and inter-company
balancing. Assist in maintaining and developing systems
of internal control with a desire to think outside of
the box.
Accountant Skills/Requirements
  • 4 year Accounting degree, required
  • 1 - 3 Years Accounting experience
  • Strong analytical, problem solving, and communication
skills
  • Office 2007, with knowledge of Office 2003 preferred
  • Must have strong working knowledge of Excel and Access
  • Ability and confidence to learn new systems quickly
and effectively
  • Ability to work with all levels of company (clerical,
management, field personnel, administrative office
managers, corporate staff, etc.)
  • 1-3 years experience general ledger reporting, account
reconciliation experience
  • Available for periodic travel to the locations to
conduct audits, inventory counts, training issues on new
systems, etc
  • Future availability and willingness to relocate to
another Guardian facility preferred
