It is the mission and intent of this position that the incumbent will work closely with the Director of Finance and Assistant Financial Controller. The Staff Accountant will be responsible for assisting the Assistant Financial Controller in the preparation of the monthly financial statements and reconciliations, managing the reporting process of Labor Management, and fulfillment of several other key financial tasks. This individual will provide meaningful suggestions for improvements and problem solve, whenever necessary, to assist the Finance Department in achieving their financial and overall goals.

Job Duties:
  • Assist in preparation of monthly financial statements and balance sheet reconciliations
  • Maintain daily cash flow reporting
  • Maintain Fixed Asset Accounting System
  • Provide supervision and training to the Accounts Payable
  • Assist with hotel compliance of internal controls
  • Audit & prepare sales and use tax returns & reporting
  • Assistance with loan reporting requirements (together with FC)
  • Exposure to and assistance with operating budget and forecasting
  • Special projects aimed at analyzing and evaluating hotel profitability
  • Audit & prepare various financial inter-period reports
  • Partner with finance team on process improvement and compliance
Other duties as assigned by the manager.

  • BA in Accounting or equivalent
  • Minimum 2 years full charge general ledger bookkeeping or financial preparation experience
  • SUN General Leger Accounting System advanced user experience preferred
  • 3-5 years prior hotel accounting experience in similar capacity preferred
  • Minimum 2 years supervisory experience preferred
