Primary responsibilities of this position are:|
To ensure that all accounting transactions for the Administration/IT divisions are processed and recorded in an orderly and timely fashion and to assist the Director, Financial Reporting & Budgeting in monitoring and analyzing Admin/IT department’s expenses, budgets and financial statements. Maintain the Fixed Asset System for Additions, Disposals, and Fixed Asset G/L accounting entries and reconciliations. Duties include but not limited:
Record and maintain journal entries as part of the month-end closing process. Perform account analysis and research to close the G/L for Administration/IT/Diversity departments.
Update and reconcile Administration balance sheet accounts to the General Ledger on a monthly basis.
Serve as a primary contact person for business unit Directors and Administrators for all accounting needs (explanation of journal entries, policies and procedures, etc.).
Assist Director, Financial Reporting & Budgeting in monitoring each department’s spending vs. budget to effectively track spending. (Including reviewing all purchase orders, invoices, expense reimbursement form, etc. against department budgets).
Assist Director, Financial Reporting & Budgeting with monthly and quarterly variance analyses on department expenses and financial statements.
Maintain the Fixed Asset System (USTA & NTC) for Additions, Disposals, and Fixed Asset G/L accounting entries and reconciliations.
Accounts receivable billings for corporate.
Collect and review division budget data to assist Director, Financial Reporting & Budgeting in the development of annual budgets for Admin/IT.
Create, maintain, and distribute financial reports.
Excellent Analytical Skills
Prior Auditing Experience a plus
Lawson/Hyperion experience a plus
Financial Report Writer a plus
BA in Finance Accounting
5 years Financial Analysis experience (with focus in Fixed Assets a plus)
