The Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services Internal Audit Division is seeking two highly skilled professionals to perform internal audits covering DBHDS Central Office, its Facilities, and Community Services Boards (CSBs) in accordance with "Standards for the Professional Practice of Internal Auditing" of the Institute of Internal Auditors, Inc. and approved audit plan of the DBHDS Office of Internal Audit. The positions will assist with planning of audit engagements, the completion of audit work and the writing of audit reports as well as conduct State Fraud, Waste and Abuse Hotline investigations.
Experience in auditing or specifically internal audit, appraising activities, or operational analysis. Ability to work as part of a team. Good oral and written communication skills as well as a professional and pleasant demeanor. Ability to review a function, area or situation and determine appropriate audit procedures, and make appropriate, practical recommendations. Skills in interviewing and investigation techniques to successfully complete assigned Hotline cases. A working knowledge of internal controls. Good computer skills (word processing, spreadsheet, database). College degree in accounting or finance (or equivalent combination of education, training and experience).
Working toward a CPA, CIA and/or CISA license desired.
