Kemper Corporation, a publicly traded billion dollar multi-line insurance and financial holding company headquartered in Chicago, IL, is seeking an individual to fill a Staff Internal Auditor position in our Jacksonville, FL office.

Reporting to the Internal Audit Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of operational and financial audits, special projects and investigations that add value to Company operations. Additional responsibilities include the identification of control concerns, opportunities for process improvements and communication of best practices. Candidates should have excellent communication and organization skills to meet established project objectives, as well as to assist senior team members in developing project planning, approaches and problem resolutions.

Job Requirements :
Requirements include an undergraduate degree in Accounting, Finance or Business, and public accounting or prior auditing experience of 1 – 2 years. Professional designations (CPA, CIA, CISA) and knowledge of insurance operations are pluses. Travel 25 – 35%.
