As a Staff Development Coordinator (SDC), your primary responsibility will be to plan and implement facility orientation and in-service programs in accordance to staff needs and regulatory compliance, and work with facility departments to ensure staffing and training needs are being met. In addition, you will provide hands-on clinical orientation and instruction to licensed and unlicensed personnel, monitor employee performance and take necessary action for compliance issues.

Our Oakwood Garden community has 122 beds specializing in long term care and short term rehab. It is a 4-Star rated facility and a recent American Health Care Associations Bronze Quality Award winner. We are very proud of the low associate turnover and good clinical and survey outcomes. The successful candidate will have the following qualifications:

A current Florida RN license
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
At lease 2 years clinical experience in a health care setting; long-term care setting preferred
High sense of urgency and strong leadership skills
Customer service oriented with the ability to work well under pressure
Approachable, flexible and adaptable to change
Excellent communication, leadership and mentoring abilities
Ability to plan, develop and implement the programs, policies and procedures, etc. necessary for providing quality care
Ability to follow all applicable policies and procedures as well as current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines and regulations that govern long-term care
