This individual will participate in determining the electrical hardware requirements for, and developing solutions for the next generation of Cymer EUV light sources. The selected individual shall work closely with the software and algorithms control teams to develop architectures that can meet the needs of today and support the continuous growth of a complex controls system needed to support the evolution of the technologies used to create EUV light. Challenges include synchronizing the generation of droplets of metal to the firing of multiple high power lasers to cause the generation of 13.5nm laser light, measuring and confirming the efficiency of the process, and then controlling the change of parameters including timing and steering at a 50KHz rep rate.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Works with a team to develop requirements for controls and is the principal individual responsible for the architecture needed to meet the requirements.
Work closely with cross functional teams including gas and vacuum engineers, optical engineers, and scientists to insure controls systems architecture supports the technical needs of the system.
Applies innovative Electrical Engineering solutions to new product development at both the research and productization phases.
Experience with cPCI, VHDL, ENET, ECAT, Fiber-Optics, and embedded control.
Hands on controls hardware design and architecture experience with analog and digital designs.
Knowledge of process and safety PLC
Experience with Schematic Capture, Simulation and Design Tools (OrCAD, PSpice , PADS, Xilinx preferred)
Experiences with FMEA and use case tools to develop requirements.
Specialist in advanced technical or business skills. Individuals with a customer focus have developed the acumen to cultivate and develop lasting customer relations. May have advanced degree (Master's, PhD). Minimum of eight (8) years of experience is required
Requires a Bachelor’s or Masters Degree in Electrical Engineering.
Requires design and architecture experience in relevant technologies.
