ARCADIS is seeking a motivated Environmental Scientist or Engineer to support a growing base of projects in our Branchburg, NJ office. This is an opportunity for a dynamic individual looking for career growth in environmental consulting and project management.

Primary responsibility is to act as a task manager on site investigation and remediation projects in New Jersey. Work may include data compilation and interpretation, report writing, regulatory file review, proposal writing, project strategy development, schedule and budget management, and task manager role within a project team. Experience with the New Jersey Technical Requirements for Site Remediation is required.

Task management responsibilities will include coordination of fieldwork. Implementation of some fieldwork should also be anticipated. Fieldwork may include: soil and groundwater sample collection, soil gas and indoor air surveys, groundwater well installation, and Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments.

Local candidates preferred; no relocation or travel reimbursement for this position.

Required Minimum Qualifications:
  • Minimum years of experience: 5
  • Education required: BS degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Geology or related field
  • Registrations/Certifications required: OSHA 40 Hour HAZWOPER
  • Skills required: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Task Management experience including data presentation and report writing, experience with soil and groundwater sample collection, well installation, Phase I and II site assessments and soil gas surveys required as well as experience with the NJ Technical Requirements for Site Remediation.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Years of experience preferred: 5-10
  • Education preferred: MS degree in Geology, Environmental Science, Engineering or related field.
  • Registrations/Certifications preferred: PE or PG
  • This position does require travel. Travel amount is negligible.
  • A valid driver's license and clean driving record is required for this position.
  • This position does not manage others.
