PRIMARY OBJECTIVE OF POSITION:
Responsible for design, installation, testing, and debugging of new server or applicaton systems.
MAJOR AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY:
Analyze system logs and performance metrics to tune and optimize systems
Perform routine audits on systems
Responsible for backups and integrity of backups
Apply Updates, Patches, and configuration changes to systems
Add, remove, or update user security or email accounts
Responsible for Anti virus, spam filtering, and archiving
Work as part of a team to monitor and resolve tickets escalated from the Tier 1 support teams.
B.S. degree & 5 years of technical support experience OR 13 years of relevant technical experience.
In depth knowledge of windows servers through 2012
Windows services including DHCP, DNS and A
Exchange 2010 with high availability designed in on a global scale
IIS web platform understanding
Platforms monitoring, such as Nagio
VB Scripting WMI and ADSI
Ability to grasp new concepts quickly
Ability to balance competing tasks in a rapidly changing environment
Superb customer service skills
Strong attention to detail
Knowledge of storage concepts as they pertain to the virtual infrastructure
