Registered Nursing License in the state where the ASF is located: either Pennsylvania or New Jersey. BLS required. PALS, ACLS preferred
Graduation from NLNAC and/or CCNE accredited school of nursing or college. BSN preferred.
At least 2 years prior nursing experience preferably in a PACU, OR, or Critical Care arena. Pediatric experience preferred.
Active participation in a professional organization preferred.
According to the CMS (Centers for Medicaid and Medicare Services) a copy of diploma or transcript is required as proof of academic achievement for all non-laboratory personnel performing non-waived POC testing

All CHOP employees who work in a patient building or who provide patient care are required to receive an annual influenza vaccine unless they are granted a medical or religious exemption.

Job Description:
The Staff Nurse 3 practices at the level of a competent to proficient practitioner of pediatric, family- centered nursing. The nurse at this level demonstrates competence in the safe care for patients with complex problems. This nurse also demonstrates clinical leadership skills through contribution to standards of care and unit/organizational goals. The Staff Nurse 3 serves as a role model for the other staff and a preceptor for new employees. This nurse participates in endeavors to increase nursing knowledge including the use of evidence based practice and the development of research skills. The Staff Nurse 3 provides care in a cost effective manner. The nurse must demonstrate competence in caring for patients with moderate to complex health issues and assist the Site Manager with administrative issues which affect the clinical practices within the office as well as comply with the administrative policies and clinical protocols as outlined in policy and procedure manual. Administratively responsible to the Site Manager and Ambulatory Nursing Director for nursing practice issues.
