Brief Description of Role:
Charles Schwab & Co., Inc. seeks a Staff Programmer Analyst in San Francisco, CA. Work with business partners to analyze and define requirements and design and implement appropriate solutions, ranging from data support for analytical exercises to data-centric reports and applications. Support environments including SQL server databases, Teradata Enterprise Data Warehouse, Teradata hosted bank datamart, SAP Business Objects (BO) Universe design, BO Webi based reporting, web based reporting and scripting database extracts and queries to develop ad hoc and production reports using SQL Server SISS reporting mechanisms. Coordinate analysis development, testing, and implementation of solutions with vendors. Act as requirements project lead for medium to large projects, directing and coordinating requirements project staff and activities. Gather and document requirements, translate functional requirements to technical requirements, and recommend solutions. Advise on technical solutions for business requirements to maximize efficiencies.
Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, or related field and 3 years of progressive experience in the job offered or related business analyst, project management, or related position.
Experience and/or education must include:
- Background experience in financial services industry delivering business process requirements and use cases;
- Project management experience/knowledge;
- Teradata Enterprise Data Warehouse;
- Business Intelligence experience, specifically Business Objects Webi and Universe design;
- MS Project, Excel, MS Word and Visio Drawing tool; and
- Data Modeling for viable designs and ETL solutions to support reporting requirements
