1. Provide the highest quality mental health services to students at Santa Clara University. 2. Support the vision of the University to make student learning a central goal by facilitating the psychological health of students.
I. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Evaluation and brief individual therapy for students

Crisis assessment and intervention services

Group therapy

Consultation to faculty, staff, and students' families regarding student concerns

Psychoeducational outreach programs to the campus community
II. Specific Responsibilities

Observe CAPS policy and procedures

Complete written intake assessment of students and follow-up progress notes

Provide appropriate on and off-campus referrals

Triage potentially urgent cases one day each week

Develop and direct outreach programs to the campus community

Share responsibility for after-hours consultation to University staff via cell phone
III. Other Responsibilities

Provide supervision and training to interns

Serve on University committees
IV. Qualifications

Doctorate degree in counseling or clinical psychology

Licensed Psychologist (California licensed or eligible); or licensed MFT or MSW

Prior college or university counseling experience preferred

Two years post-degree experience with young adults preferred

Demonstrated knowledge and skills in the application of student development theories

Demonstrated knowledge and experience in addressing the needs of a diverse student population

Ability to deal independently with a wide variety of student psychological needs

Demonstrated experience and ability to work as part of a team
