The incumbent will provide assistance to the Study Coordinator in carrying out the daily research activities, will perform assessment activities and will provide data management services in the Magnetic Resonance Unit.

Assist Study Coordinator in supervision of all staff except for Sr. Psychometrist

Essential Functions:
Create and submit documents to IRB/CHR
Conduct assessments of dementia and age-related cognitive impairment, including the Clinical Dementia Rating (CDR), Neuropsychiatric Inventory (NPI) and others.
Administer neuropsychological test batteries lasting up to 4 hours.
Score behavioral and cognitive assessments and enter in database.
Assist in data management and quality assurance
Assist in all aspects of study coordination
Assist in creation and modification of study related materials, such as study protocols, consent forms, brochures, procedure manuals, and recruitment materials
Generate study reports and analysis for study related data
Organize study data using data tables, data entry, word processing
Attend staff meetings
Collect demographic and medical information from clinical records
Contribute to overall progress of studies by performing other duties as assigned by study coordinator
Occasional special projects and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
Possession of a Bachelor’s degree in related field, preferably psychology
Vietnam War Veterans strongly encouraged to apply
A minimum of one year experience in research related activities
Training and/or experience in clinical psychological assessment
Familiarity with the UCSF CHR and VA IRB procedures and regulations
Attention to detail
Ability to write reports well
Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities to achieve desired goals
Ability to work effectively with interruptions
Ability to exercise tact and discretion in handling a variety of confidential material
Excellent interpersonal, written/oral communication and organizational skills
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
Ability to prioritize workload to ensure deadlines are met
Ability to work well under pressure and in an extremely fast paced environment
Ability to successfully interact with a wide variety of individuals
Experience/expertise with MS Word, Excel, Access, Endnote and proficiency with Powerpoint
Work in an office environment; sustained posture in a seated position for prolonged periods of time; may utilize a computer terminal for prolonged periods of time.
