Thriveworks is seeking an energetic, creative and professional Staff Writer to join its team within the marketing department in our Lynchburg area based office. An ideal candidate possesses experience in writing for a healthcare or mental health orientated field.
The Staff Writer must be a strong writer that can create original content for a wide range of media communication activities such as: social media, press releases, blog posts, and web content. This position has growth potential into a web design and internet marketing role.

Bachelor’s degree is required, preferably in Business Marketing, Public Relations or Communications
1-2 years of professional experience of creating original content
Excellent writing and editing skills
Skilled at generating audience specific content
Proficiency in multimedia marketing and social media outreach
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team
Skilled in internet marketing – including SEO
Experience in editing web content within WordPress CMS and WP Multisite
Background in writing in the mental health and/or healthcare promotions field
