The Opportunity

Scheduling Coordinator - Staffing Coordinator

Basic Function:

Primary responsibility is the oversight of all of the daily staffing activities. Coordinates all telephone inquiries from referral sources and staffs shift requests, providing the most qualified caregivers for our clients. Maintains all records and maintains all staffing-related documents.

Responsibilities:

Answers telephones and documents client information during the telephone inquiry with the objective of scheduling the home assessment.

Staffs all new clients by matching the appropriate caregiver skills to client needs and manages all schedules and schedule changes.

Ability to develop a positive friendly relationship with all referral sources and clients

Ability to supervise all field staff, coaching when appropriate for tardiness, attire and improving skill sets.

Follow up on all telephone inquiries to convert to clients, sending cards, emails and developing relationships in the community.

Ability to recruit caregivers, interview, conduct background investigations and check references for all potential employees.

Ability to train and conduct a weekly orientation for all new hire employees

Must be reliable and responsive in order to help customers promptly. Ability to portray confidence, to convey trust and empathy with a degree of caring for the individual.

Must clearly communicate and understands how to relate to the client, caregivers and referral sources such as hospital case managers or skilled nursing facility social workers.

Works closely and communicates daily with internal staff and field staff.

Maintains a professional office environment and promotes a positive image for the company.

Computer skills are required.

Must be able to use a comprehensive staffing software program to access client and employee information as needed.

Processing timecards and payroll using Quickbooks preferred.

Additional technology will also be used, such as, telephony for automation of timekeeping.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English (Bilingual a plus)
  • Must be able to communicate effectively and tactfully
  • Must possess the willingness to work harmoniously with professional and non-professional personnel
  • Must be able to handle difficult situations with good judgment
  • Must be flexible and possess personal integrity
  • Must be able to rotate on-call shifts for after-hours calls

Experience:
Office Management with supervisory skills

Prior experience in the staffing industry required.

Home care staffing experience preferred.

Education/Training:
Minimum High School Diploma or Equivalent

College degree preferred, not required

Healthcare supervisory experience working with patients and staff

Nursing Education or Nursing-related employment background a plus
