Job Summary

Responsible for the management of recruiting, pre-screening and new employment processes, including monitoring and researching industry trends in order to ascertain the competitive landscape. Support staffing team by performing metrics reporting and data interpretation utilizing statistical analysis...Participate in projects that improve staffing processes and practices for the enterprise.

Major Tasks, Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities

  • Manages the hiring process of new associates to include coordinating the distribution of resumes, assisting with candidate screening, scheduling interviews, and offer letter generation.
  • Acts as the primary liason between HD Supply and our third party recruiting vendors to ensure vendors are held accountable to their SLAs and develop and report out on vendor metrics to Talent Acquisition management.
  • Processes new hire background and drug screens and provide level one support for internal clients.
  • Identifies and recommends process improvements, streamlines efforts and automates where possible to leverage work flow optimization.
  • Assists with projects for staffing-related projects and initiatives.
  • Maintains an in-depth understanding of all Talent Acquisition processes; tracks trends and developments related to recruiting and staffing. Conducts studies, performs research and prepares reports.
  • Develops reports to meet management request for staffing metrics and related information.
  • Provides support for ad hoc Talent Acquisition projects.

  • Nature and Scope

  • Demonstrates skill in data analysis techniques by resolving missing/incomplete information, inconsistencies/anomalies in more complex research/data.
  • Nature of work requires increasing independence; receives guidance only on unusual complex problems or issues. Work review typically involves periodic review of output by supervisor and/or direct "customers" of the process.
  • May provide general guidance/direction to or train junior level support personnel or professional personnel.

  • Work Environment

  • Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.
  • Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
  • Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.

  • Essential Skills

    Minimum Qualifications

  • Must be eighteen years of age
  • Must pass the Drug Test
  • Must pass the Background Check
  • Must pass pre-employment tests if applicable

  • Education and Experience

  • Typically requires BS/BA in related discipline. Generally 2-5 years of experience in related field; certification is required in some areas OR MS/MA and generally 2-4 years of experience in related field. Certification is required in some areas..

  • Preferred Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of staffing/recruitment experience.
  • Experience conducting data analysis and metrics reporting.
  • Demonstrated ability managing multiple projects.
  • Prior experience with a major applicant tracking system.
