We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Staffing Specialist. The successful candidate will be responsible for recruiting, interviewing, and selecting qualified applicants for positions throughout the Medical Center via the development and implementation of strategic marketing efforts designed to attract passive and active candidates. This individual will act as an internal consultant to all Medical Center departments; and will serve as a main point of contact for all staffing and onboarding inquiries. This highly visible role provides invaluable assistance to multiple NYULMC departments to fill critical vacancies.
In this dynamic role you will have the opportunity to participate in a wide variety of on/off site recruitment events, and make use of 21st century marketing tools. This position will be required to develop long term networking relationships with key resources in order to increase/broaden pool of potential applicants, and shares contacts with colleagues. Will provide Senior Staff with regular updates of advertising needs; determines, prioritizes and plans advertising campaigns for own areas of recruitment and recruitment team areas as well; with guidance from Senior Staff, will closely monitor advertising costs to ensure cost control. Will maintain and regularly update recruitment reports such as activity, and an applicant tracking database for EEOC reporting, among others.
The ideal candidate will have demonstrated career counseling expertise and will be an active participant in the Medical Center's Steps for Success (SFS) Program. The candidate will regularly meet with internal candidates interested in exploring career opportunities within the Medical Center and assisting those candidates with conducting an effective search, developing better interview skills and providing them with resources for professional development when needed. Will assists colleagues with various projects, i.e. operations, opening centers, housestaff or audit; system upgrades, etc.
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or Management with a minimum of three years of recruiting and/or interviewing experience in healthcare with proficiency in MS Office. Effective verbal, written communication, interpersonal and consultative skill with the ability to understand the needs and urgency of assigned customer base are essential. Familiarity with an Applicant Tracking (experience with Peoplesoft version 9.0 or later and Silkroad Open Hire) and/or Onboarding System would be preferred.
