The role of Altria Group Distribution Company, (“AGDC”) is to provide sales, distribution and consumer engagement services for Altria’s tobacco operating companies. AGDC is currently seeking a qualified State Relations Coordinator to join the Trade & State Relations, Training and Compliance department in Richmond, VA. The successful candidate will assist in executing the State Compliance System processes to ensure compliance with certain state and local tobacco laws and requirements.
Specific accountabilities include:
Processing all monthly Jenkins / Pact-Act reports for all tax jurisdictions as required by Federal law, directing customer invoicing, and other misc. state requests in order to ensure compliance and strengthen relationships with state authorities
Assisting in executing the PM USA Master Settlement Agreement, (‘MSA”) Certification Process to ensure compliance with State Attorney General brand certification requirements
Executing the PM USA, USSTB, Nu Mark and JMC Corporate Licenses and Permits Process to ensure compliance with state tobacco product licensing laws and requirements
Maintaining and updating the State Resource Center in order to ensure all files and notices are current on all state and local requirements
Proactively initiating and communicating with internal cross-functional departments and external stakeholders to ensure complete State submissions
Assisting in other state, local and AGDC FDA regulatory requests as needed
Minimum High School Diploma, Trade School, or equivalent preferred
Effective written and oral communication skills (ability to converse with State officials, customers, and internal/external stakeholders)
Strong Comprehension Skills (ability to read and understand complex State laws, regulations, forms, and applications
Attention to detail
Advanced organization and planning skills
Strong Administrative Skills (Spreadsheet Management, Filing, Copies, Letters, PowerPoint, Excel, Word and Outlook mail)
Ability to travel occasionally
