The Internship is a project-oriented work assignment designed to offer hands-on experience within the GE Corporate State Tax team. This assignment will provide exposure to areas of state tax, return preparation, estimates, extensions, annual reports, and research various state and local tax issues. Projects will utilize these skills and lay a solid foundation for a career in the field of tax accounting. Interns will work independently and on teams to drive change and controllership while executing essential tax projects.
Qualified candidates must have a GPA 3.2 or higher
Pursuing Bachelors in Accounting - Junior, Senior or pursuing Masters in Accounting.
The ideal candidate will possess excellent academic credentials, proven leadership experience
Excellent organization skills, strong analytical and communication skills
Demonstrated team player
Attention to detail and accuracy essential
The ability to work in fast-paced, changing environment with a high level of focus to customer
Ability to develop and achieve measurable goals
Committed to working 15 hours per week during school year
Committed to working 35 hours per week during summer months
