Strategic Finance Analyst

The primary functions of the Strategic Finance area are to provide financial leadership and discipline to the company, provide effective project management leadership on strategic initiatives, facilitate effective communication between PGE management and stakeholders, provide leadership for process improvements and efficiencies, and integrate enterprise risk management into organizational decision making. The analyst is expected to view the operations as if they were an “owner” and provide business advice accordingly.

This is a position opening for one of the analysts who provides budgeting and consulting services to each of the PGE Officers and their managers. At any given time, business support assignments may change to balance staffing and workload levels. Key functions include long-term effective planning that influences decision making, reporting and governance, support of regulatory filings and integration of financial and operational planning.

Top candidates will have strong analytical skills, the ability to perform financial analysis and assess economic value, effective computer skills (eg., Excel) and excellent consultative skills. Typically requires eight to ten years of finance / accounting experience with a degree in accounting, finance, economics or general business.
