Increase sales and profits of products produced by Stock Yards Meat Packing Company through the US Foods Distribution Centers. Develop and maintain the base of customers, monitoring weekly sales by account to assess potential opportunities for increasing penetration and sales. Build relationships with key purchasing agents in the divisions, including buyers and merchandising personnel.
Increase sales in the Stock Yards COP Categories in each assigned location
Establish and develop professional relationships with principal decision makers at each location
Evaluate and analyze sales opportunities through product evaluations, product conversions, sales data mining, and the monitoring of current purchasing activities
Coordinate all activities related to divisional product cuttings, sales training, and food shows
Assist with the development of local marketing materials to drive Stock Yards sales
Prepare documentation and quotes for RFPs
Overnight travel of at least 50 % is required
The position requires a high school diploma or GED equivalent.
Must have five years direct selling experience (Required). Selling in a food service and protein back ground are strongly preferred.
In depth knowledge of the Beef, Pork, Lamb and Veal industry and the applications of the cuts is required. Must be proficient in using the Microsoft Office suite of software. Must have the ability to use the Intranet and Internet applications. Contract negotiation skills are strongly preferred. Must be detail orientated. Strong verbal and written communicate skills are required.
