Kenexa Requisition ID 5302BR Job Posting Title Store Communications Manager Job Description Department Retail Job Description Oversee and serve as the gatekeeper for communication between Quiksilver Retail Home Office and our Retail Stores. Effectively plan and manage Store Workload to maximize the Customer Experience. Actively supervise operations staff of 1-2 employees. Develop and maintain programs that assist in the success of the QS Retail division. Motivate, support, and communicate with employees throughout the organization, while supporting Quiksilver Retail’s values, mission, and beliefs. Inspire and energize others to commit to vision, capture minds, and always lead by example. Job Responsibilities:
Communicate effectively in written and verbal form with entire Ops team, Home Office, and Retail Stores.
Work closely with field and Home Office to write, test and implement new procedures and programs.
Develop and facilitate implementation of company training programs.
Manage and coordinate field meetings / schedules and events with the Retail division.
Support field (stores / customers) via phone and email to ensure needs are met by QSR.
Serve as project manager for new Store openings and forecasted closings. Ensure cross functional partners have met their requirements and our Stores have all the necessary tools to execute.
Provide support and assist Director of Operations with special projects as needed.
Create a learning, nurturing, entrepreneurial environment that promotes internal career growth.
Listen and assign the highest priority to customer satisfaction, including internal customers.
Effectively manage all controllable expenses in all aspects of the operations department.
Cultivate an environment of open, authentic dialog with DM’s, store teams, and Home Office partners.
Listen and effectively probe for new ideas, see change as an opportunity.
Other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements :
Minimum 2 years office experience.
Minimum 5 years retail in store experience, with at least 3 years management.
Must have Excel / Word / MS Outlook / Power Point skills.
Must exercise tact and urgency while working with deadlines.
Possess strong leadership, interpersonal and effective communication skills.
Conflict resolution / relationship building skills, ability to lead, coach, and mentor.
Eager to participate in all levels of work, constant interest in learning.
Organized multi-tasker with ability to direct internal / external employee / guest relations.
