Position Summary

As the leader of the store management team, the Store Manager coaches and trains store personnel to achieve sales, as well as ensure profitability through the correct use of store systems/processes (POS).

The Store Manager manages the overall store overseeing store operations including:
  • customer service
  • administration
  • planning and managing merchandising
  • replenishment
  • product inventory
  • loss prevention activities
  • scheduling
  • training
As manager, you will proactively ensure that customers are handled quickly and efficiently and ensure friendly, fast and accurate processing of all customer transactions. Also, you are responsible for creating a healthy and positive work environment which drives employee engagement and retention.

Remain informed of marketing and merchandising plans of the co-op, expectations and timetables.

Assist in the development of marketing and merchandising plans specific to the store and assure timely execution of same in the store.

Create a sales culture that increases sales, fosters and develops a consultative selling environment and improves customer service.

Ensure that the store operates in full compliance with applicable laws, regulations and store policies including but not limited to talent management processes, pre-employment screening process, associate file maintenance and compliance and management of all financial documents and reporting systems.

Support in the coaching of associates to delivery an outstanding and consistent customer experience in compliance with company strategies.

Position Qualifications

Minimum of two years retail experience.

Supervisory experience is a plus.

Requires the ability to work independently, make decisions and take the initiative to solve customer and employee concerns.

Leadership, management, organizational and problem solving skills a must.

Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays as necessary.

Ability to use electronic communication devices during all working hours which include wearing a headset and/or a device in the ear.

Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds occasionally and 25 pounds regularly and climb ladders.

Ability to stand and move about for extended periods of time with only short rest brakes.

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
