The Supply Chain Manager is responsible for developing and implementing procedures, and conducting the sourcing, selection, ordering, tracking and QA release and maintaining appropriate inventory levels of all raw materials and supplies for all departments of Florida Biologix which is part of the Center of Excellence for Regenerative Health Biotechnology. The duties include interaction with project managers, dept managers, scientists, clients and others to determine project requirements and needed supplies, to understand the timelines for these requirements, and to source and place orders through the fiscal/admin dept in a timely manner. In addition, source, select, compare and negotiate pricing with vendors for equipment as well as materials and supplies. The Florida Biologix facility is operated in compliance with cGMP regulations, and this position includes responsibility for ensuring compliance with these regulations. This position is located in Alachua, Florida.
Manage overall ordering processes for Florida Biologix including ordering, stocking, and inventory. Current inventory consists of over 9000 items and monthly orders of over 300. Manage inventory and distribution of materials through FB’s Passport Inventory System. Maintain a perpetual inventory system to ensure proper product and inventory levels. Maintain appropriate levels of “Quantity on hand”, “Reorder level” and “Reorder quantity” in the software system. d) Maintain special order files and handle exchanges, credits, and returns. Maintain controls and protection over all supplies, equipment, and property. Analyze and report monthly activities to the appropriate areas (Departments). Work with Administration Dept. to ensure orders are placed within PeopleSoft system. Negotiate with FB vendors to evaluate new products, substitutes, and to compare vendor pricing. Assist with Florida Biologix budget and contract drafting. Manage procedures for sourcing, selecting and purchasing of materials, and devise new more efficient coordinated procedures. Ensure and be responsible for vendor qualification and vendor applications. Work with vendors/suppliers to obtain discounts on purchases, particularly equipment and expensive materials. Other duties as assigned.
A high school diploma and five years of appropriate experience. Appropriate college coursework or vocational/technical training may substitute at an equivalent rate for the required experience.
