Job Description:
The Storekeeper / Receiving Clerk will participate in the day to day operation of cGMP compliant Facilities Dept. of the Center of Excellence for Regenerative Health Biotechnology (Florida Biologix) in Alachua, FL. Responsibilities include shipping samples and final product, assisting the Facilities Manager in the day to day operation of the warehouse and in the maintenance, calibration, monitoring and possible repair of facility and manufacturing equipment and machinery. The clerk assists the Facilities Manager in all aspects of quality and FB standard operating procedures and cGMP compliance within the warehouse and regarding facility and equipment related activities.

Package and ship finished products, samples and other materials to customers or other locations. Utilize temperature monitoring devices, including downloading temperature data upon return of monitors. Fill out and complete appropriate shipping paperwork and records. Contact transport companies and arrange for pickup. Maintain adequate supplies for shipping including monitors, pallets and other packaging supplies. Maintain cGMP records and supply documentation to QA as required.

Perform final product material management activities including receiving, shipping, inventory and movement of final product materials manufactured in the GMP production/laboratories. This includes storing products and samples in ultra-low freezers (-80°C), refrigerators (2-8°C) and in liquid nitrogen freezers.

Receive, label and record required information for all new equipment. Install or deliver new equipment to appropriate production area, laboratory or office.

Perform other duties as assigned including receiving, shipping, inventory transport and issuance of materials used in the GMP facility. Maintain proper organization of warehouse and equipment. Re-stock materials as needed.

Conduct cleaning activities when requested in the biological production facility according to written procedures requiring being fully gowned (hood, facemask, jump suit, booties, gloves, safety glasses) in compliance with cGMP regulations. Perform gowning qualification of staff as required.

All work must be performed following written procedures and work must be documented concurrently, including equipment and material used. Immediately report all accidental deviations from procedures and document same. This position may require contact with human blood or other potentially infectious materials ( OPIM ) and Human Pathogen Research (BSL2+/BSL3).

Must be able to gown aseptically which requires balance and bending. Must be able to lift 50 lbs and maintain a standing position for long periods of time. Must be able to climb ladders. May handle blood products and other potentially infectious materials ( OPIM ).

Monday through Friday, 7:30 am to 4:30 pm
Overtime in evenings and weekends mandatory, when needed.

Minimum Requirements:
A high school diploma and one year of appropriate experience. Appropriate college coursework or vocational/technical training may substitute at an equivalent rate for the required experience. Some positions may require possession of a classified driver’s license appropriate to the type of vehicle operated.

This is a time limited position.

Preferred Qualifications:
Work experience in a cGMP compliant manufacturing facility; particularly experience with shipping and storage of biological products.
Excellent computer skills
Demonstrated organizational skills
Demonstrated ability to work with as a member of a team.
Capacity to follow written procedures and an ability to read, write, and understand English.
Must be able to lift/push 50 pounds daily, change clothes and gown (including gloves and mask) daily.
