DESCRIPTION

The Storm Water Inspector will be responsible for site inspections, storm water plan maintenance, BMP maintenance, interaction with subcontractors, and maintaining subcontractor compliance with environmental regulations.

DUTIES

  • Conduct weekly storm water inspections and on-site environmental monitoring.
  • Prepare maps and coordinate BMP placement/replacement.
  • Write and submit weekly/monthly reports.
  • Update SWPPP on a weekly basis.
  • Report to the Environmental Compliance Manager, immediately, any violations or non-compliance with any environmental laws, rules or regulations or any other environmental commitments, including CDA commitments or commitments from the Environmental Approvals, and include with any such reports the appropriate recommendations for corrective action.
  • Assist in the preparation of reports as specified in the D&B Contract, Comprehensive Development Agreement, Technical Provisions, and other relevant contract documents.
  • Mitigated vegetation process from removal to implementation.
  • Assist in all other environmental issues as deemed necessary by the Environmental Manager.
  • Be "on-call" prior to, during, and immediately after all potential storm events.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor of Science degree (B.S.) from four-year college or university
  • At least 3 (three) years of environmental control and compliance experience in related industry
  • Very familiar with storm water BMP implementation process
  • Preferred applicant will have Certified Storm Water Inspector designation.
  • Proficient personal computer skills including Excel, Adobe Professional, email, record keeping, routine database activity, word processing, graphics, etc.
