The Strategic Partnership Program Manager will be responsible for the vision, strategy and success of the Strategic Partnership team. The primary goal in this role is to establish and support a strong partnership team inside of TechSmith that will increase TechSmith value, presence and leadership in existing and new technology markets. This role will be responsible for identifying strategic partnership opportunities and negotiating meaningful terms for TechSmith. The successful candidate will also demonstrate proficiency in managing teams through hyper growth environments, exceeding revenue targets, and the ability to develop strategic business plans in a complex channel ecosystem. This role will work closely with internal and external stakeholders in marketing, sales, product management and education teams.
Effectively establish, qualify and prioritize the strategic partnership pipeline working with internal executives and key externally facing TechSmith team members
Facilitate and lead negotiations with partners to achieve alignment in strategic vision while maximizing TechSmith value Identify and develop direct, high-value, business relationships with senior executives of targeted partnerships
Educate Partnership Team and broader TechSmith teams about the vision, strategy and value of individual partnership strategies, tactics and accounts
Sponsors and institutionalizes new and innovative ways to work with external partnerships to achieve overall TechSmith business goals
Oversee day to day operations of the partnership team to ensure business goals are met
Support the Partnership team by participating in customer meetings, planning and business discussions
Work directly with product management and partners to develop clear and concise product integration requirements
Support the team in partner onboarding, conversion and retention of each partner account
Create demand for TechSmith products through joint partnership marketing efforts
Represent TechSmith and Partnership Team at industry events and clients onsite
Required Skills, Qualifications and Background:
Executive presence: writing, speaking, appearance, and poise to motivate and drive business initiatives with internal stakeholders and external executives
Minimum of 8 years in sales or marketing team management (or equivalent experience)
Minimum of 5 years in strategic business development and contract negotiations (or equivalent experience)
Ability to understand and present corporate vision, strategy and organization
Strong leadership, planning, execution, people management and coaching skills
Excellent knowledge of software industry and business dynamics of a fast paced environment
Highly entrepreneurial and able to operate independently with minimal supervision
Ability to communicate the business value and/or ROI of proposed products, services and joint partner solutions
Able to lead and influence peers and counterparts in cross-functional teams
High level of integrity and able to handle large amounts of confidential information
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, finance or equivalent required, MBA preferred
