As a part of the Partnership Team the Partnership Sales Manager will play an instrumental role in helping craft and manage a world class strategic partnership program for TechSmith. The Partnership Sales Manager will be responsible for leading strategic and exclusive vendor sales activities in and through newly established and existing partnerships. This role will is also responsible for maximizing revenues earned through partnership channels outside of traditional resellers. This role requires a wide range of business development activities. A team player with a positive can do attitude and a passion for technology is essential.
Effectively and proactively own the sales relationships between TechSmith and strategic partnership
Accurately qualify complex volume sales that maximize TechSmith revenue while maintaining value for each partnership
Proactively assesses, clarifies and validates partner needs on an ongoing basis
Manages potential channel complicit with other firm sales channels by fostering excellent communication internally and externally
Ensures partner compliance with partner reselling agreements
Proactively contact and drive sales with partnership accounts through customer visits, reference sells, customer appointments, and proposal submissions
Develop and implement sales strategies to cross-sell and up-sell customers to increase TechSmith sales and product penetration within customer accounts
Create account plans and strategies to win new business within each partnership
Develop and manage key customer relationships with decision makers and influencers to gain strategic positioning within assigned accounts to maximize sales, references, etc.
Work with the Partnership Team and customers to develop and communicate the joint solution value proposition(s) and assist development of required collateral, messaging, social media, videos, etc.
Collaborate and communicate with the TechSmith teams, including the PMM’s, Marketing, PR, etc. to ensure overall TSC marketing, product and sales align with our overall TechSmith vision and goals
Assist in the determination of target tradeshows and events, then represent TechSmith at tradeshows, events, partner activities, etc., communicating and presenting our messaging along with product specific content as required
Provide accurate and detailed forecasts of identified and proposed opportunities
Effectively multi-task and excel in a fast paced environment and work constructively as part of the TechSmith partnership team and Team TechSmith
Required Skills, Qualifications and Background:
Must be organized, self-motivated and detail oriented with the ability to multitask
Sound written/verbal communication, presentation and excellent interpersonal skills
Superior listening skills with the ability to translate information into actionable insights
Able to lead and influence peers and counterparts in cross-functional teams
Bachelor’s degree required
3+ years business or sales experience required (or equivalent experience)
Willingness to travel locally and across the US up to 25% of the time
