Job Description Stress Engineering We are currently seeking candidates to join a dynamic and motivated team in support of the development of a potential new and innovative Learjet aircraft. Duties and responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following:
Develop internal design loads using conventional and finite element techniques.
Provide strength checks of structural airframe and system components.
Conduct Stress analysis in support of new design for both metallic and composite structures, specifically for Systems installations (Primary/secondary flight controls, landing gear, engines).
Apply and implement requirements of FAR/CS 25.
Document structural analysis in studies and written reports.
Support aircraft development from Preliminary Design through Certification. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ABILITIES REQUIRED:
Minimum of Bachelors Degree in Aerospace/Mechanical Engineering (MS preferred).
Minimum of 10 years of applicable aircraft structural design and stress analysis experience, preferably in working with composites.
General knowledge of fatigue damage tolerance and fracture mechanics.
Strong communication skills and proven ability to interact with all levels of Management and FAA/TC/EASA preferred.
Strong computer skills (MS Office, PC) required.
