We are currently recruiting for a Design Engineer to join the StrongPoint Engineering division of STRUCTURAL TECHNOLOGIES. This position will be based in Houston , Texas . The Design Engineer will analyze and design portions of industrial structures for repair. This person will be responsible for research, structural analysis, field inspections and design generation of innovative repair solutions. They will also be responsible for analyzing survey reports, maps, drawings, and other data to plan construction projects. Additionally, the Design Engineer will assist in translating requirements into structural engineering concepts by accomplishing feasibility studies and designs.

Successful candidate must meet the following criteria to be considered for this position:
  • Bachelors Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
  • More than 5 years of experience with reinforced concrete and structural steel design
  • Be PE licensed, or able to obtain one within 1 year
  • Demonstrated experience of structural modeling and calculation software such as SAFE , SAP 2000, RISA 3D, STAAD Pro, Enercalc, or similar
  • Prior experience working in industrial facilities
  • Able to obtain a TWIC Card
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
