A. Supervises administrative staff
B. Participates with the Registrar, Associate Registrar and Information Technology to ensure effective development and use of systems used by the Registration and Records Office
C. Creates the requirements for documents used for the development of technical application and specific enhancements to the student database. Coordinates with Information Technology representative on software implementations, development, and testing
D. Develops and implements workflow solutions by performing business processes analyses, gathering requirements, writing and testing changes, upgrades, reports, and policy and procedure manuals for end users within the Registration Records Office
E. Oversees the operation of all electronic data processing programs and equipment for the department, including but not limited to web registration and online grading.
F. Coordinates the electronic transfer of data, including but not limited to the National Student Loan Clearinghouse and online application
G. Acts as project leader and coordinate the ongoing implementation of, but not limited to, Communications Management, Admissions, WebAdvisor, online enrollment verification, and any future Ellucian Modules, Image Now digital imaging processes and future software implementations
H. Serves on internal and external committees as a source of reliable, comprehensive information in regard to the Records and Registration database and processes and attend meetings of committees when agenda items relate to functional responsibilities and/or when requested by the Registrar
I. Prepares and publishes user guides and documentation. Provides training to faculty and students as required
J. Participates as a member of the Registration and Records Office management team and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement. Trains co-worker in functional duties for the Registration and Records Office
K. Maintains appropriate competency in contemporary computer technology
L. Perform other duties as assigned (M.E.)

Salary Range:

Required Qualifications:
A. Bachelor’s degree in business, computer information systems computer science or related discipline
B. Extensive knowledge of computer and relational databases and ability to manipulate software packages
D. Ability to develop and maintain sophisticated computer programs
E. Ability to act as a technology resource and technical trainer of computer systems
F. Ability to establish effective relationships with other members of the college administration, faculty, staff, and the general public
G. Two (2) years’ experience working directly with a Student Information System
H. Two (2) years’ supervisory experience in Higher Education within a student oriented office. i.e. Registration, Advising, Financial Aid and Admissions

Preferred Qualifications:
A. Two (2) years working in a Registrar’s Office at an institution of higher education
B. Experience with a relational database management system (such as Ellucian or Banner)
C. Experience in written and oral communication skills
D. Strong interpersonal, problem-solving and decision making skills

Hours of Work:
The Student Information Systems Coordinator shall be employed on a twelve-month basis, working a minimum of 35 hours per week with a flexible schedule to include evenings and weekends if necessary. Compensation and benefits shall be in accordance with the Handbook for Non-Affiliated Administrators and pertinent Board of Trustees policies. Regular, prompt attendance is considered an essential job responsibility.
