Student callers are essential to the success of several funds and maintaining strong relationships with alumni and friends at Florida Atlantic University. Phonathon callers contact thousands of alumni and more each year to update their demographics, update them with recent university news and ask for their support. Responsibilities and Duties ? Serve as an ambassador by establishing an open and engaging line of communication between FAU and its supporters. ? Gain an understanding of FAU, its organizational structure, and its annual needs for financial support. ? Call constituents (alumni, parents and friends of FAU) to build rapport, update demographic information and acquire gifts. ? Work with other callers in a team oriented environment to further the development of the student calling program and reach goals. ? Commit to a minimum of 2-3 shifts per pay period. ? Arrive on time and with a positive attitude to scheduled calling sessions. ? Handle personal information with extreme confidentiality. ? Have a good time and make new friends! MUST BE ABLE TO ATTEND PAID MANDATORY TRAINING ON WEDNESDAY, MAY 15TH AND THURSDAY MAY 16TH

Must be FAU degree-seeking student taking 6 credit hours and be in good academic standing. Must be comfortable asking for money over the phone. Ability to speak English clearly and communicate effectively by telephone. Ability to think on your feet in a fast paced environment. Demonstrate leadership, professionalism and have a positive and respectful attitude. Must be able to work in a team environment. Must be dependable and able to work evening hours. Ability to present facts in precise and persuasive manner.
