Advertised Summary Job Description

Under the guidance of the Assistant Director, the Student Services Coordinator will serve as the initial point of contact for students requesting disability accommodations. This position will also guide students through the process of registration and facilitate communication with faculty and staff. Coordinate proctoring services, sign-language interpreting services, CART, captioning, and housing accommodations for eligible students with disabilities.

Minimum Qualifications for Grade Applicant MUST meet these minimum qualifications to be considered an applicant

Bachelor's degree and/or its equivalent required. Minimum 2-4 years related experience. Knowledge of the learning context of highly selective institutions. Strong organizational, written, verbal and electronic skills required. Sensitivity to issues of diversity. Demonstrated ability to be part of a collaborative team focused on providing high quality services to students with disabilities. Ability to exercise good judgment and strong decision making skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Master's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Rehabilitation/Special Education or related field preferred. Prefer Knowledge in the areas of postsecondary academic accommodations and auxiliary services as and providing disability service to college students.
