The Student Services Coordinator is tasked with coordinating day-to-day operations for the Office of Student Life and Alumni Relations and working to successfully execute student services, events program and activities. The School serves approximately 8,000 students enrolled in numerous programs of the school ranging from fullā€time master's students to summer high school students, to visiting undergraduates, to visiting international English Language students, to professionals pursuing certificates or executive master's degrees. CHARACTERISTIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILTIES: Student Services Events and Programs + Provides administrative support for major events and programs, student activities, student clubs and leadership within the Office of Student and Alumni Relations. Including but not limited to orientations, workshops, program-wide social events and Commencement/Class Day and special projects. + Assists with and manages logistics in relation to the production of events and projects. Coordinates and supports program development including room reservations, catering, printed materials and coordination with administrative officers and faculty and student communications. Finalizes and organizes location details; working with event production-related vendors; timely preparation of all necessary printed materials and mailings; timely preparation of multi-faceted invitations lists and preparation of detailed response reports and brief; preparation of nametags, place cards and or seating lists; production of event-related presentations and promotional items; follow-up with event program speakers, participants, faculty, etc. + Works with the School's program directors to coordinate activities, especially within the American Language Program (ALP). General Services Support + First point of contact for inquiries via general student affairs telephone line. + Monitors and filters general student affairs account emails. + Provides general information to walk-in students, incoming calls and emails and, as needed, manage advising referrals to the SLAR staff. + Coordinates day-to-day office operations, including ordering office supplies, SCE forms (registration add/drop, student handbooks, notice of withdrawal forms, letterhead/envelopes). + Coordinates room reservations for various events - registrations, orientations, etc. + Scans and organizes SCE documents in various folders on central server _ Updates SCE websites to check for errors, broken links, make sure everything's accurate/updated; perform web content updates as directed. + Additional projects and duties as needed or assigned.

Minimum Qualifications for Grade Applicant MUST meet these minimum qualifications to be considered an applicant

Bachelor's degree and/or its equivalent required. 1-2 years of related higher education, student affairs, human resources or event planning experience.

Must be detail orientated, self-motivated, and able to work independently and carefully manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously with short deadlines in a high volume environment. Excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills required. Ability to work well under pressure with short deadlines and changing priorities is needed. Strong computer skills specifically using MS Office applications.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with student and/or alumni affairs in higher educational setting. Experience with international student populations and with the services components of student and alumni services. Proven ability to plan and successfully execute events.
