Provides recruitment and retention services to prospective students within a team environment. Provides a high level of customer service as part of the Outreach and Recruitment team to promote Recruitment, Early Outreach, ACE, Dual Enrollment, New Student Orientation and campus tours. Acts as institutional representative to internal and external constituents and utilizes a broad base of knowledge of student services functions to assist students in understanding and navigating the enrollment process at Scottsdale Community College. Promotes institutional programs and services through frequent visits to high schools, community agencies, and businesses. Assists with Welcome Center and campus signature events.

Essential Functions

30% - Provides oversight in organizing and conducting New Student Orientation sessions
30% - Provides administrative assistance and scheduling for the programs within the Outreach & Recruitment office
20% - Assists in the planning, organizing and implementation of dual enrollment registration
15% - Assists in the implementation of the ACE (Achieving a College Education) program
5% - Performs other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

  • Experience working in a student services environment such as recruitment, admissions, advising or other related areas
  • Experience working with high school and college students from diverse backgrounds
  • A high level of and written communication skills
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, high volume environment
  • Experience creating informational materials and presenting to large and small groups
  • Strong computer skills including experience in data entry, databases, student information systems and Internet
Desired Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree and/or experience in customer service in an educational environment
  • Experience in higher education student service and enrollment services
  • Experience developing informational materials and deliver verbal presentations to prospective students, parents, counselors and colleagues
  • Knowledge of One-Stop Enrollment services operations
Special Working Conditions

Some evening and weekend hours required; may require prolonged periods of sitting and viewing a computer screen; local and some in-state travel required. Possession of a valid State of Arizona Class D Driver's License is required; must meet district minimum standards regarding driving:
