Duties and Responsibilities:
Under general supervision, provides admissions, registration, academic record and other information to students, faculty and the general public. Refers individuals to the appropriate CNM resources; explains and interprets CNM information by telephone, in-person, and on-line. Performs general office duties including data entry and retrieval, manual and electronic processing, answering telephones and other clerical duties as assigned. May supervise student employees and employees who provide back-up assistance. To ensure compliance with federal and college requirements some mandatory training must be completed for this position.
Completion of thirty (30) credit hours at an accredited post-secondary institution including liberal arts and a minimum of two (2) years related experience. Ability to relate to and interact with a non-traditional diverse employee and student population.
Associates degree and community college experience preferred. Working knowledge of admissions, registration, testing equivalencies, prerequisites and academic guidelines. Ability to effectively communicate both orally and in writing with diverse populations; to exercise judgment; organize work and process data with attention to detail; and work under pressure with a high degree of accuracy. Demonstrated skills in working as part of a team and/or independently, with the ability to demonstrate initiative and flexibility. Ability to operate and use standard office equipment, including networked computers and computer software preferred.
20 hours per week, Monday through Friday, 10am - 2pm. Flexiible work schedule and locations may be adjusted to meet the needs of the department and College; may also include occasional evening or weekend hours.
