MANAGER | STUDIO SERVICES

Reports to: Director | Studio Services
PURPOSE AND SCOPE
The Manager | Studio Services is responsible for assisting the Director | Studio Services in moving projects through the A|X workflow process and supporting the department overall.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Open and route projects for revisions and approval along every step of the pre-production
and production process; know where every job is – every step of the way
Coordinate specific in-house projects with Creative department – responsible for timely workflow of
deliverables and timelines, overseeing and validating the work completed
Strategically manage workflow to maximize available resources and achieve deliverables by
assigned deadlines
Facilitate internal and external requests for logos, files, assets
Support the maintenance of the Marketing/Creative Production budget and invoice files
Assist Director | Studio Services in approving retouching and color on campaign photography
Procure and manage additional graphic design freelancers when needed
Work with graphic designer/production artist to ensure layouts are in accordance with each project’s
pre-press and press guidelines as provided by Studio Services
Collaborate with cross-functional partners (Marketing, PR, Visual, Merchandising
/Product, and Design) to facilitate design, production and implementation process
Negotiate with vendors to stay within budgets to ensure cost effectiveness
Interact with the Marketing, Visual and PR teams on production-related matters to resolve project
conflicts
Communicate status of all projects through regular weekly meetings, status reports,
and daily updates
Recommend innovative production techniques for large format executions
Source large format retail window production and installation vendors
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
3-5 years print traffic/production management experience in an advertising agency or
in-house graphic design department
4-year degree in Communications, Advertising, Marketing or Graphics
Familiarity with digital media/graphic design terminology; interest in project management
Working knowledge of design software: InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator and Quark. Familiarity with
Mac platform and MS Office software
Strong interpersonal and service skills; works well in collaborative creative environments
Strong organizational and communications skills; must have the ability to multi-task and follow up
Other traits: initiative, sense of urgency, resourcefulness, professionalism, detail-oriented, and
responsiveness
High level of proficiency in Mac systems of Adobe Creative Suite 5, Acrobat Pro and Microsoft
Office,basic knowledge of web design applications a plus
Knowledge of production techniques/processes and industry advertising and collateral types
Proactively determine ways to improve workflow efficiency
