Position Overview

The Stylist Marketing Associate is responsible for organizing and maintaining all Stylist marketing tools and business supplies for our independent Stylists. S/he will also support the execution of Stylist marketing promotions and campaigns. This is an important role for the organization given our mission and business model. The Stylist Marketing Associate will report directly to the Senior Manager of Global Stylist Marketing.

Scope of Responsibilities

Stylist marketing tools and business supplies: Manage and maintain all Stylist marketing materials and business supplies. Organize and maintain the Marketing Materials section of the Stylist Lounge so that Stylists have easy, intuitive access to all marketing materials and business supplies. Assist in the development of marketing collateral and business supplies for Stylists, including digital trunk show invitations, digital images for booking trunk shows, trunk show display signs, Stylist and Hostess Brochures, Starter Kit Components, Getting Started Guides, and Stylist stationary.

Stylist campaign and promotion support: Support the execution of Stylist marketing campaigns and promotions by serving as a liaison between Marketing, Sales (Field Development), Customer Service, eCommerce, Merchandising, International, etc.

Stylist insights and analysis: Participate and support our Stylist Voices program – collecting input from Stylists through bi-weekly focus groups, quarterly surveys and regular phone conversations – and use this input to improve Stylist marketing tools and business supplies.

Competitive assessment Closely monitor competitors’ training, communication and marketing efforts and use insights gained from this process to develop ideas for improving our own programs.

Quality of implementation (on time, on budget, minimal confusion)

Customer service/ ‘friction’ impact due to programs

Internal (San Bruno and International) partners feedback

Experience & Skills Requirements

Communications – Experienced in developing marketing materials. Proven ability to break down complex messaging into digestible and fun information that is easy for our Stylists to action. Demonstrated experience in writing and editing materials for print and web-based communication vehicles.

Creative Leadership – Ability to come up with out-of-the-box creative ideas and collaborate with creative teams to assist in the development of compelling marketing campaigns.

Cross-Functional Experience –Effective in working cross‐functionally. Able to build consensus through inspiration, influence and strong relationships.

Fashion/Lifestyle Brand Experience – Ideal candidate will have experience performing similar functions at a fashion/lifestyle company. Experience at a fashion or aspirational lifestyle brand highly valued. Understanding of Direct Sales companies or companies that drive revenue through a sales force is valued.

Big & Small Company Experience – Ideal candidate will have experience at both large and small companies to appreciate the disciplined and analytical approach of implementing a complex program while embracing the sense of urgency, innovation and resourcefulness required at a fast-paced small company environment.

Bachelor’s Degree, 1-2 years of professional experience
