We are looking for a ROCK STAR Subscription Sales Rep to work out of our amazingly cool Downtown NY office. In this role, you will be handsomely rewarded for selling subscriptions of our market-leading publications under the Waters Technology brand. The role will primarily focus on driving new business revenues.

You will be working from leads that are provided by the Marketing Department, but also self-generated, both externally and internally by liaising with the Publisher, the Editorial team, and the Advertising team on a regular basis. The Role: Sell subscriptions for our Waters Technology Brand, by utilizing the best practices in telephone sales. To make effective presentations clearly explaining and selling the benefits of specific subscription based magazine. Contact and maximize all opportunities, including up-selling additional products and users.

Attend industry events as directed to meet clients and generate sales leads. Maintain a weekly call rate of 200 per week. Provide a level of customer service to his/her accounts that is to the standard expected by the Sales Manager. The Musts: Ability to develop a pipeline using organization and diligent follow up.

Reliable, assertive team player with a positive attitude, high energy and enthusiasm. Clear and concise communication (both verbal and written) skills. Strong problem solving ability, negotiation and closing skills. The Preferred: College degree preferred.

One (1) year telesales experience, preferably in B2B sales in publishing, subscriptions, or online sales industries. A basic knowledge of the financial/trading technology markets and dealing with senior professionals is preferred.
