Position Summary

Develop, market, execute and evaluate operations which go towards the effective management of Wildcat Threads, a retail store focused on recreation and wellness products; including UA branded products. Incumbent will need to work closely with future students, staff, and UA fans and must also be available to work flexible hours to accommodate building and event hours.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Perform daily store operations. *Hire, train and supervise student staff for Wildcat Threads (including temporary hires for peak sales periods). Customer Service *Pursue and develop new market opportunities *Generate reports for Wildcat Threads *Perform various supervisory functions *Facilitate transactions for Campus Recreation sales for specialty sports. *Performs functions related to the purchasing element of this position. *Focus on financial issues pertaining areas of responsibilities.
Arizona Board of Regents Minimum Qualifications

Three years of experience in retail sales operations or related experience, which includes one year of coordinating or leading work of others; OR, associate's degree in Business Administration or a related field AND one year of retail sales operations experience, which includes one year of coordinating or leading the work of others; OR, any equivalent combination of experience, training and/or education.

Additional Minimum Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications

Associate's degree in Business Administration AND three years bookstore operations experience which includes one year supervisory experience; OR Five years progressively responsible bookstore operations experience, which includes one year supervisory experience. Knowledge of supervisory practices and principles. Knowledge of bookstore operations. Knowledge of management principles and practices. Knowledge of inventory techniques. Ability to effectively communicate.
