Qualified applicants must possess a valid California teaching credential or be eligible for a Substitute Teaching Permit.
Meet the Basic Skills Requirement through one of the methods listed on Form CL-667 on the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing website - www.ctc.ca.gov.
A Bachelor’s degree and satisfying the basic skills requirement are required for the Emergency 30-Day Substitute Teaching Permit.
Long-term assignments require a valid California teaching credential.

1.Please elaborate on your experience/training in an educational setting with students participating in Special Education Programs.
Our Special Education program operates year round and is designed to provide functional instruction for students between the ages of 18 months and 22 years who have been identified as needing intensive educational service. It is the goal of our program and services to emphasize the teaching of skills that are functional and critical to the needs of our students. Whenever possible, interaction with non-disabled peers is promoted. We emphasize communication, vocational training, and functional academic skills with a behavior management emphasis. Our Paraeducators support the OCDE values and mission statement by providing outstanding educational services in a safe and secure learning environment for all our students.
