Crestron’s Video Processing Group is a team of electrical engineers that specialize in the design of products that process computer generated and high definition video. These designs incorporate algorithms that de-interlace, scale and frame buffer video images utilizing FPGAs and other digital circuitry. This group also evaluates and designs circuits that perform MPEG compression, recording and network transport of video signals.
Interns will implement a video test pattern generator utilizing VHDL in an FPGA. Design should include Color Bar, color gradient, and grid type patterns. Design should support different video resolutions including 1080p60 and 4K/2K. Resolutions and patterns should be controllable from a microprocessor interface. Design should be FPGA vendor agnostic.
Skills and Education Requirements:
Electrical or Computer Engineering Major , junior year completed.
Taken basic logic courses such as Boolean Logic or Discrete Mathematics
Taken basic logic circuit design
Should have knowledge of clocked and synchronous logic
ASIC or Programmable Logic Device design course a plus
VHDL or Verilog a plus
Knowledge of video interfaces a plus
