Summer Internship Tech IV, Project Engineer (S13-006)
This summer internship position will perform the functions of an entry-level electrical engineer by providing engineering solutions to problems in order to minimize costs and maximize profits. The work requires application of standard techniques and procedures applied to a specific work segment. It is anticipated that this person will spend considerable amount of time at all the ongoing projects both thermal and renewable currently under development, design and construction at Generation Projects.
Top candidates will have:
- Basic knowledge of fundamental engineering/economic principles and concepts.
- Normally requires a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering.
- Demonstrated ability and skills in a field of specialization.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Must have a valid driver's license in good standing.
- Must be willing to travel to remote locations with possible overnight travel.
The successful candidate is currently working toward a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.. Must have Effective computer skills, including Excel, Word, Power Point and Outlook software applications. Effective problem solving skills. Effective human relations and communications skills
- Physical requirements: walking, climbing, accessing high places, accessing hot and noisy areas, sitting for long periods, stooping and accessing confined areas.
To be eligible for PGE’s 2013 Summer Program, you must be at least 18 years old as of June 1, 2013 and have met one of the following criteria:
-A current college student who is returning to college in the fall of 2013 as a full-time student
-A recent 2012-2013 college graduate
