Willing to work with The Salvation Army's Boys & Girls Club Unit Director in developing well-rounded Programs for members ages 6 to 18. Lead a group of children in recreational, cultural, educational, and spiritual activities. Maintain discipline and provide informal Christian counseling as needed. Maintain communication with parents regarding children’s progress or problems.Lead group on field trips and special events. Spanish speaking is a plus. Plan weekly activity schedule in writing and complete program report at the end of each week. Coordinate all activities through the Unit Director.Registering new members and providing orientation for participants and parents.Clear background check and valid driver’s license and good driving record required. Must have a genuine interest and ability to relate with youth and earn their respect.Maturity, self-control, sound judgment, leadership ability, sense of humor and patience. Energy, innovation, and initiative. A shared vision for the Salvation Army's philosophy for youth ministry. A realistic understanding of community life and the forces that influence youth. Good communication and interpersonal skills and is understandable and relevant to teenagers. Must be able to work in a fast paced environment and be flexible. Driving and light lifting is required. Outdoor and indoor activities based on programming. Ability to adapt to changing work conditions and the flexibility to serve at any of The Salvation Army Boys and Girls Club locations throughout Greensboro at a moment’s notice is essential. Must be able to work in group settings.

Required Education:
High School Graduate and minimum one year experience working with youth
