This position effectively and efficiently supervises and manages the daily operations of the assigned clinical computer systems. This position must demonstrate a commitment of quality service to our patients, the public, and our co-workers.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities :
Manages the performance of assigned staff in order to ensure effective productivity, training and skills development.
Direct staff in the development, analysis, and preparation of system changes/optimizations.
Establish Associate goals and conduct Associate performance reviews.
Orients, supervises and evaluates the performance of assigned staff, ensuring that all staff support the values of the organization and a strong commitment to delivery of quality services to end users.
Coordinate system activities and special projects to ensure quality and meet required departmental timetables.
Works with IS Leadership to incorporate requirements for assigned systems into the IS annual tactical plan.
Evaluate system processes. Recommend and coordinate needed changes based on process review with appropriate department leadership.
Interfaces effectively with vendors regarding proposals, contracts and hardware/software installation and use as well as compliance with contract terms.
Ensures maintenance contracts are kept current and that equipment is serviced in a timely manner.
Maintain accurate expenses related to assigned systems, monitoring budget and actual expenses on a monthly basis.
Manages invoices for all assigned systems.
Participates in continuing professional development, initiates and participates in R&D activities.
Other duties as assigned.
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field preferred.
Supervisory experience preferred.
Project management experience preferred.
Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills required.
