Supervise the daily operations of the Culinary Equipment & Supplies Distribution Center which include picking, packing, shipping and put-away.

US Foods Culinary Equipment & Supplies, Specialty Operations division of US Foods is currently seeking a Warehouse Supervisor in Reno, Nevada.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

:

Lead, coach, mentor, motivate and inspire direct reports and others to achieve an optimum level of performance by consistently upholding the Company values and Code of Conduct and by demonstrating role model behavior in all that is said and done.

Conduct performance reviews for direct reports in a timely manner and recommend increases in compensation in accordance with pre-established policy.

·

Plan, map out the shift workload.

·

Assign each employee an area to work in. (i.e. UPS, Picking and Packing).

·

Supervise the picking and packing of orders and the put-away of returns.

·

Oversee the training of new employees by observing and evaluating their progress.

·

Sort documents for picking and packing.

·

Ensure that UPS, RPS and LTL’s are completed and shipped by deadline on a nightly basis.

·

Setup LTL or Express shipment pickups.

·

Research and find stock-outs on orders.

·

Insure all shipments manifested.

·

Maintain the security of warehouse during shift.

·

Pull and Log Orders.

·

Oversee the cleaning of warehouse.

·

Lock up warehouse and set security alarm at end of shift.

·

Conduct meetings with employees regarding safety, productivity or general information.

·

Participate in and satisfactorily complete all required training and development programs required for the assigned position.

Qualifications

-

Education/Training

:

High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required. Two years of college is preferred.

Related Experience

:

Five years of warehouse operations management.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

:

Strong oral and written communications skills; strong organization, attention to detail and time management skills; above average personal computer skills and the ability to effectively use Microsoft Office software to include Outlook, Mail, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and the ability to effectively use Internet and Intranet software applications. Manhattan Associates Warehouse Management System and AS400 experience is preferred.

Physical Requirements

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Individual will need to speak, hear, see, sit, or stand as needed. The incumbent will be required to perform computer keyboarding activities. The position will require walking primarily on a level surface for periodic periods throughout the day. The position will also require reaching above shoulder heights, below the waist, or lifting items as required for products, filing documents or storing materials throughout the work day. The position requirements may also include lifting items that weigh up to 50 pounds for products, files and computer printouts on occasion.
