Supports management in promoting a high performing business environment by providing direction to Computer operations staff.
Essential Job Results
Supports management in accomplishing group goals by providing operational and day-to-day supervision of IT administration, support and/or operations staff.
Plans and directs day-to-day operations and workflow and assesses, develops and trains staff. Makes hiring and firing recommendations for the department that are given particular weight.
Ensures adequate coverage and user support by assigning team members and/or developing service schedules. Plans for shift turnovers and/or resource shortages.
Promote a productive work environment by directing prompt resolution of employee and operational issues. Monitors staff and their resolution of user problems and/or systems issues to ensure optimum user and system performance.
Oversees compliance by communicating policies, systems, methods and procedures and by monitoring performance.
Continually improves team effectiveness by establishing performance indicators. Monitors and analyzes problem reports to ensure efficient and timely response and escalation of issues.
Supports special projects as assigned. Assists in budget preparation.
Serves as a back-up on technical support issues, delivering reliable high performance applications and technical services.
Protects the Company by handling business sensitive information with appropriate confidentiality.
Minimum 4 years related experience in IT Supervision.
Minimum 5 years experience working in computer operations.
Minimum 3 years experience with Linux/Unix required.
Batch Processing experience required.
Associates Degree in Computer Science, Data Processing or related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
May require, A+, Net+, ITIL or other certifications.
May require in any combination of the following areas: CPM, SCAT, LYNX, Peoplesoft, or other Information Systems.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
May require technical skills in any combination of the following areas: Networks transmitting Voice/Data/Fax and LAN/WAN communications, TCP/IP or VSAT, A+, Net+.
May require working knowledge of telecommunications, Networks, Active Directory, PC, ITSM, or other information systems equipment.
Strong customer service skills.
Phoenix, AZ 85027 20400 N. 29th Avenue Beardsley Operations Center is conveniently located near I-17 and 101 in northwest Phoenix. Local candidates are preferred. Relocation assistance is not available.
Pay and Work Schedule
Hiring rate for this position is $47,800 to $62,200 per year, depending on experience. Department is open 24x7, work schedule will be discussed during the interview.
